FACTORY STOCK RULES

THOSE ITEMS NOT ADDRESSED IN THE FOLLOWING MUST REMAIN STOCK AS PRODUCED BY THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER

This is a stock class: Items must remain OEM stock as produced by the original manufacturer except for the items addressed in the following.


1. BODY Any American made car from 1967 to present. Wheelbase must be OEM factory stock. No subcompact cars. If chassis is altered or steering parts (tie rods, etc.) are not stock and in stock location, it's not legal Complete bodies and frame that year model Body must look factory stock. (May use sheet metal or aluminum) All doors must be secured to the body. Enclosed interiors are allowed.

Rear spoilers must be factory. Hood and trunk must be pinned or have factory hinges. Must have a complete factory stock floor pan and firewall in stock location. Rear firewall must extend from bottom of rear window to floor pan.
Trunk area may be cut to allow for fuel cell placement. Seat must remain on driver’s side.

Rear fender well must remain in stock location from the factory shock mount forward. Rear fender well and Firewall may be trimmed for tire clearance.

Bumpers may be square tubing-must run inner rub rail- Minimum size 1 1/2'' round tubing on rear bumper. Roofs must remain stock. (No chop tops) Holes in firewall must be covered with metal or aluminum. All glass must be removed, including head and tail lights. No rearview mirrors allowed. No nurf bars allowed

Must have factory stock OEM frame front to rear. (May be tied together) Drive shaft loop or chain is mandatory. 6" back from front u joint-drive shaft and loop must be painted white. All weights must be painted white and securely fastened with two 1/2'' bolts, to eliminate injury and hazardous conditions. Failure to have your cars weight securely fastened is grounds for disqualification or position penalty at the discretion of the tech official. No weights can be mounted above bottom of window opening. Factory gauges may be removed. All flammable interior (carpet, head liner, Interior side panel, etc.) must be removed. Quick steer and steering wheel couplers are allowed. Stock steering columns allowed.

2. Weight: 3,300 lbs.

3. Engine and drive train #1 spark plug must be lined up with or forward of left ball joint. Any manual transmission must have 180 degree explosion proof steel bell housing or explosion proof blanket. Engine must be stock production. Factory blocks only. GM to GM, Ford to Ford, Dodge to Dodge. Flat top or dished "Cast" pistons, No domes. Casting numbers must be readable by tech official. No 400 blocks. Maximum cubic inch displacement to include clearance and wear is 360 for GM, 363 for ford, and 370 for mopar. All others must not exceed 370 cid. NO STROCKING OR DESTROKING.

Intakes: Aluminum or cast intakes allowed single or dual plane allowed. NO AIR GAP INTAKES or sheet metal intakes. No porting of the heads or gasket matching of intake or heads. Intake may not be reworked under the carb area. No aluminum heads, no angle plug heads excluding Ford and Dodge. No double hump/vortec heads for GM. Valves must not exceed IN 1.940 / EX 1.500 all manufacturers.

Carburetors: Can be no longer than a Holly #4412 500 CFM 2 barrel and must pass inspection from top side with gauge. Bottom of carb can be no longer than 1 11/16" in diameter. (MUST BE STOCK VENTURA 1-3/8'') May run Rochester 500 CFM 2 barrel. (Subject to be pulled off and checked). Factory OEM style distributors. (GM=HEI) NO MSD distributors, No remote coils on GM distributors. No onboard electronic devices capable of storing information allowed with the exception of recall tachometers. No aftermarket electronic amplifying devices allowed. No performance modules. Hydraulic cam shaft and lifters only, stock rocker arms or roller tip rocker arms allowed. Cam must be 480 lift at the valve NO EXCEPTIONS! No flat tappet cams or mushroom cams. No Roller Hydraulic cams.
Headers allowed. Factory stock automatic or standard transmissions must have working clutch. Must use factory stock 10'' minimum diameter clutch and pressure plate. Stock steel OEM flywheels only (aftermarket clutch pedal ok)
Stock type 10" or larger factory torque converters required on all automatics, Temperature reading will be taken to ensure torque converter is not a dummy. Driver must be able to put car in gear from park/neural and move forward and reverse at time of inspection.

Tires, Wheels, Suspension
Any asphalt pull off, must durometer 55 or greater after race. Grooving and siping is allowed.
Steel racing wheels only. Maximum width is 10". Right rear bead lock recommended. 1/2" thread studs and 1" lug nuts Mandatory. All suspension must remain stock and in stock location. No relocation of mounting points. Springs may be aftermarket. No use of chains or other items to limit the suspension travel. No weight jacks or spring sliders allowed. Rear springs must use stock upper spring pads in stock location. Shocks must mount in stock location Heims ends allowed. 9" rear ends allowed in all cars. All rear ends must be spooled or welded. Must be in stock location. (Floater Allowed) Pump gas or racing gas only.
