THOSE ITEMS NOT ADDRESSED IN THE FOLLOWING MUST REMAIN STOCK AS PRODUCED BY THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER

This is a stock class: Items must remain OEM stock as produced by the original manufacturer except for the items addressed in the following.


1. BODY Any American made car from 1967 to present. Wheelbase must be OEM factory stock. No subcompact cars. If chassis is altered or steering parts (tie rods, etc.) are not stock and in stock location, it's not legal Complete bodies and frame that year model Body must look factory stock. (May use sheet metal or aluminum) All doors must be secured to the body. Enclosed interiors are allowed.

Rear spoilers must be factory. Hood and trunk must be pinned or have factory hinges. Must have a complete factory stock floor pan and firewall in stock location. Rear firewall must extend from bottom of rear window to floor pan. Trunk area may be cut to allow for fuel cell placement. Seat must remain on driver’s side.

Rear fender well must remain in stock location from the factory shock mount forward. Rear fender well and Firewall may be trimmed for tire clearance.

Bumpers may be square tubing-must run inner rub rail- Minimum size 1 1/2'' round tubing on rear bumper. Roofs must remain stock. (No chop tops) Holes in firewall must be covered with metal or aluminum. All glass must be removed, including head and tail lights. No rearview mirrors allowed. No nurf bars allowed

Must have factory stock OEM frame front to rear. (May be tied together) Drive shaft loop or chain is mandatory. 6" back from front u joint-drive shaft and loop must be painted white. All weights must be painted white and securely fastened with two 1/2'' bolts, to eliminate injury and hazardous conditions. Failure to have your cars weight securely fastened is grounds for disqualification or position penalty at the discretion of the tech official. No weights can be mounted above bottom of window opening. Factory gauges may be removed. All flammable interior (carpet, head liner, Interior side panel, etc.) must be removed. Quick steer and steering wheel couplers are allowed. Stock steering columns allowed.

Wings rules

Cannot run wing and wall both, Wing cannot extend more than 6" past top of rear glass opening Wing cannot extend past more than 6" past top windshield opening Wings cannot extend out more than 2" on each side past body No adjustments remotely (from within car) Minimum wing size 12 square foot total side panels to get bonus money

Wall

Rear of Wall Must be within 6" of back of car body not bumper 4' tall max from front to rear measured from lowest part of top of the rear body 4'x4' max on wall measured from body

2. Weight: 3,300 lbs.

3. Engine and drive train #1 spark plug must be lined up with or forward of left ball joint. Any manual transmission must have 180 degree explosion proof steel bell housing or explosion proof blanket. Engine must be stock production. Factory blocks only. GM to GM, Ford to Ford, Dodge to Dodge. Flat top or dished "Cast" pistons, No domes. Casting numbers must be readable by tech official. No 400 blocks. Maximum cubic inch displacement to include clearance and wear is 360 for GM, 363 for ford, and 370 for mopar. All others must not exceed 370 cid. NO STROCKING OR DESTROKING.

Intakes: Aluminum or cast intakes allowed single or dual plane allowed. NO AIR GAP INTAKES or sheet metal intakes. No porting of the heads or gasket matching of intake or heads. Intake may not be reworked under the carb area. No aluminum heads, no angle plug heads excluding Ford and Dodge. No double hump/vortec heads for GM. Valves must not exceed IN 1.940 / EX 1.500 all manufacturers.

Carburetors: Can be no longer than a Holly #4412 500 CFM 2 barrel and must pass inspection from top side with gauge. Bottom of carb can be no longer than 1 11/16" in diameter. (MUST BE STOCK VENTURA 1-3/8'') May run Rochester 500 CFM 2 barrel. (Subject to be pulled off and checked). Factory OEM style distributors. (GM=HEI) NO MSD distributors, No remote coils on GM distributors. No onboard electronic devices capable of storing information allowed with the exception of recall tachometers. No aftermarket electronic amplifying devices allowed. No performance modules. Hydraulic cam shaft and lifters only, stock rocker arms or roller tip rocker arms allowed. Cam must be 480 lift at the valve NO EXCEPTIONS! No flat tappet cams or mushroom cams. No Roller Hydraulic cams.
Headers allowed. Factory stock automatic or standard transmissions must have working clutch. Must use factory stock 10'' minimum diameter clutch and pressure plate. Stock steel OEM flywheels only (aftermarket pedals ok non adjustable within drivers reach) Stock type 10" or larger factory torque converters required on all automatics, Temperature reading will be taken to ensure torque converter is not a dummy. Driver must be able to put car in gear from park/neural and move forward and reverse at time of inspection.

Tires, Wheels, Suspension
Any asphalt pull off, must durometer 55 or greater after race. Grooving and siping is allowed. Steel racing wheels only. Maximum width is 10". Right rear bead lock recommended. 1/2" thread studs and 1" lug nuts Mandatory. All suspension must remain stock and in stock location, non adjustable shocks only . No relocation of mounting points. Springs may be aftermarket. No use of chains or other items to limit the suspension travel. No weight jacks or spring sliders allowed. Rear springs must use stock upper spring pads in stock location. Shocks must mount in stock location Heims ends allowed. 9" rear ends allowed in all cars. All rear ends must be spooled or welded. Must be in stock location. (Floater Allowed) Pump gas or racing gas only.

You can run under the above rules or you may choose to run under these rules but you cannot mix and match you must choose one set of rules 

Alternate rules for hobby 

THOSE ITEMS NOT ADDRESSED IN THE FOLLOWING MUST REMAIN STOCK AS PRODUCED BY THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER.

FRAME & BODY:
1. Any year model American made car.  Wheelbase must be factory stock.  No tolerance.  No subcompact cars. Rack and pinion cars must be factory stock parts only.  Steering parts (tie rods, etc.) must be stock and in stock location.  Factory stock OEM frame front to rear.  No alterations allowed except: front cross member may be notched for fuel pump.

2. Complete body and frame for that year model.  Body must look factory and be in stock position. May use sheet metal or aluminum.  All doors must be secured to body.   Hood may be fiberglass or sheet metal, hood and trunk must be pinned down. NO plastic on rocker panels or fenders, NO ground effects on nose pieces.  Rear spoilers may be used if came stock from factory and conforms to stock specifications.  Spoiler must not be wider than trunk lid.  Back of body must be enclosed fender to fender. Must have a complete factory floor pan and firewall. Holes in firewall must be covered with metal or aluminum.  Rear firewall must extend from bottom of rear window to bottom of floor pan.  Trunk area may be cut no further forward than pinion of rear end, must maintain inner fender well that attaches to floor pan.  Rear fender wells and firewall may be trimmed for tire clearance.  Front fender wells may be unbolted and removed.

3.  Bumpers may be square tubing – must run inner rub rail – minimum size 1 ½ inch round tubing on rear bumper.  Must have tow loops front and rear. 

4. All weights must be painted white with your car number on it and securely fastened with ½ inch bolts to eliminate injury and hazardous conditions.  Failure to have your car’s number on a weight or failure to have it securely fastened is grounds for disqualifications or position penalty at the discretion of the Tech official.

5. Enclosed interiors allowed. All glass must be removed, including head and tail lights. No rear view mirrors allowed.  Factory gauges may be removed.  All flammable interior- carpet, head liner, interior side panel, rear seats, etc. must be removed.  Wiring harness may be removed and replaced.  All window openings must remain factory size.  May have 5" plastic sun screen on front window.  A minimum of 3 windsheild bars are required in front of the driver. Must have stock front dash in stock location. 

6. Must have racing seat (in stock location) and 5 point harness with crotch belt.   Must have window net or arm restraint. Driver must have helmet, neck brace, fire suit and fire resistant gloves & shoes. Must have fire extinguisher mounted inside car.  THESE ARE MANDATORY, NO COURTESY NIGHTS ON ANY SAFETY EQUIPMENT.

7. Quick release steering wheel and ¾” round steering shaft MANDATORY .  NO stock steering columns.  May run quick steer.

8. Aftermarket gas and brake pedals allowed, non-adjustable only

9.  Must weigh 3400 lbs. after race with driver.  Top 5 cars weigh after heat races.  Last chance transfer spots will weigh.  Top 5 will weigh after “A” feature .

ENGINE & DRIVE TRAIN:

ENGINE MUST HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE IN THIS VEHICLE.  YEAR MAY BE INTERCHANGED.  MUST HAVE 180 DEGREE EXPLOSION PROOF STEEL BELL HOUSING.

10. Engine must be stock production. Factory block only.  GM to GM, Ford to Ford, Dodge to Dodge, flat top or dished pistons, No Domes.  Stock GM crankshaft 3.480 STROKE and STOCK GM RODS. Must have a 1 inch plug in the oil pan for inspection, needs to be on the driver side behind the motor mounts for tech inspection.  No bowtie or aluminum blocks.  Casting numbers must be readable by tech official. No 400 blocks.  Maximum cubic inch displacement to include clearance and wear is 364 for GM and Ford and 370 for Mopar.  All others must not exceed 360 CID.

11.  #1 Spark plug must be lined up with or forward of left ball joint.

12.  Any production cast iron intake or unaltered aftermarket dual plane aluminum intakes allowed: 

WEIAND GM # 8016 # 8024 #8121 # 8126 # 8150 # 8151. FORD # 8020 # 8023 # 8124. CHRYSLER # 8007 #8022.

EDELBROCK GM #2101 #2104 #2116 #2701 #2716. FORD #2121 #2181 #3721. CHRYSLER #2176.

HOLLEY GM #300-28 #300-48.

No Brezinski intakes.  No porting of the heads or gasket matching of intake or heads.  Intake may NOT be reworked under carb area.  Carb spacer no taller than 1 ½ inch allowed. CARBURETOR CAN BE NO LARGER THAN A HOLLEY #4412 500 CFM 2 BARREL AND MUST PASS INSPECTION FROM TOP SIDE WITH GAUGE.  BOTTOM OF CARB CAN BE NO LONGER THAN 1 11/16” IN DIAMETER.  (MUST BE STOCK VENTURA 1 3/8”)MAY RUN ROCHESTER 2 BARREL (SUBJECT TO BE PULLED OFF AND CHECKED).

13. Factory style distributors.  (GM = HEI)  No MSD distributors, No remote coils on GM distributors.  No onboard electronic devices capable of storing information allowed with the exception of recall Tachometers.  No aftermarket electronic amplifying devices allowed.  No aftermarket modules.

14. Battery may be relocated and must be securely mounted in a battery box.

15. Hydraulic camshafts & lifters only, roller rockers ok .  NO flat tappet cams or mushroom cams.  No roller hydraulic cams.  Hydraulic camshaft with shafts 480 Max lift, .480 at the cam shaft (or you can run any lift hydraulic non roller cam and pull 18lbs vacuum at 1000 RPM's) . If you are in doubt get with Tech official and check before competing.  Cars will be checked in tech. Zero valve lash is required.

16. Heads must be stock OEM production only.  No aftermarket heads except unaltered summit racing part number SUM-152123 SR heads ok.  Casting number must be readable by tech official.   2.02 – 1.60 valve springs OK.  Screw in studs allowed.  No angle milling of Blocks or heads, No Brezinski products, No porting, No polishing, No acid dipping, or anything similar allowed to heads or intake. 

17. Headers ok.

18. Factory stock automatics or standard transmissions with all working gears.  Must use factory stock OEM clutch disc and pressure plates on stock steel OEM flywheels only, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Aftermarket clutch pedal ok.  Stock type, 10” or larger, WORKING factory torque converters required on all automatics, temperature reading will be taken to ensure torque converter is not a dummy.  Driver must be able to put car in gear from park / neutral and move forward and reverse at time of inspection.  Must have drive shaft loop 6 inches back from u-joint. Shaft & loop must be painted white.

19. Fuel cell mandatory,  must be in stock location.  Cell must be securely installed with 2” wide by 1/8” steel straps.  Pump gas or racing gas  only.  No nitrous oxide or other performance enhancing chemicals allowed. Bars may be added to protect gas tank and radiator areas.

ROLL CAGE:

20. Roll cages are required.  No screw joint fittings allowed. The minimum requirement for all roll cages shall be an “A” shaped affair, constructed of at least 1 ½ OD pipe with bars running from the upper right corner to the lower left corner, and just the opposite on the other side, forming a “X” as viewed from front to rear.  There must also be a cross bar on top of “A” and 4 bars down the side and 4 bars around the top to complete a caged affair around the driver.  All roll cage pipes must be at least .095 in thickness.  Must have 4 door bars on  driver side and 2 bars on the passenger side. Drivers side must  have door plate.  The driver and passenger doors inner liner only may be altered as necessary to install bars in the door area.  No further gutting allowed.  Gussets required.

TIRES, WHEELS & SUSPENSION:

21. IMCA, street or asphalt pull off tires only. No recaps or dirt late model tires.   275/60/15 largest street tire allowed.  All tires must pass tech inspection.

22. Steel racing wheels only.  Maximum width is 10”  Right rear bead-lock recommended.  NO plastic or aluminum wheels.  5/8” stud and 1” lug nuts MANDATORY.

23. Unless otherwise specified ALL SUSPENSION MUST REMAIN STOCK AND IN STOCK LOCATION, WITH NO ALTERATIONS.  NO relocation of mounting points.  NO use of chains or other items to limit suspension travel.  NO weight jacks or spring sliders allowed.  NO gold tracs or any form of traction devices allowed. 

24. May run aftermarket springs. Rear springs must use stock upper spring pads in stock location.

25. NO racing shocks or heim mounted shocks allowed.  Shocks must mount in stock location. Only 1 shock per wheel.  No spring assisted shocks unless it came factory on that vehicle.  

26. All control arms must mount up in stock positions.  No aftermarket control arms.  No Johnny joints.

27. Any stock American made car or ½ ton truck rear ends allowed.  May run 9” Ford rear end but all brackets and shocks must stay in their original locations. Grand national rear ends ok  for safety. Locked rear ends required.

28. Must have working 4 wheel brakes. May switch too disk brakes on rear.

You can run under Either of the 2 above set of Rules, or you may choose to run under theses rules but you cannot mix and match you must choose one set of rules

BODY: Any American made stock passenger car with full frame, or Chrysler unibodies. NO front wheel drives. Stock appearing aftermarket plastic nose or tail pieces are allowed. A front visor is allowed on the windshield area maximum 7 inches. Sunroofs and T-tops must be reinforced and enclosed. No nerf bars. Maximum one inch wide by two inch tall steel or Lexan rub rails allowed – bolted flush to body. All glass, plastic, upholstery, lights, mirrors and trim must be removed. Can run sheet metal doors but the rest of body panel’s must be stock metal. Front inner fender wells may be removed. Cars must be strictly stock. NO cutting, channeling, shortening or modifying is allowed. Front and rear outer fenders may be cut for wheel and tire clearance. NO excessive trimming of fenders allowed, must maintain stock appearance. NO enclosed interiors or decking allowed. No part of dash can be more than 28 inches from back edge of the center of the hood. Front and rear firewalls must remain in stock location and be full and complete. ALLopenings should be covered as to isolate the driver, subject to track approval. Race car body should be maintained in such a manner as to keep a presentable appearance. Cars with floppy or loose parts will NOT be allowed to race until such repairs are made.

BUMPERS: Stock type rear bumper required. Stock type front bumper may be used, or a fabricated front bumper may be used with the following conditions: cars with aftermarket nose pieces - the bumper may extend past frame rails for support and reinforcements; cars without nosepieces - the bumper may not extend past front frame horns. NO SHARP EDGES.

ROLL CAGE: Minimum four-point cage, minimum size 1 ½ O.D. by .095 wall thickness. Minimum three bars in driver’s side door and two bars on passenger side door (three bars if passenger in car). Four-point quick release seat belt and harness required for driver and passenger. Racing seats required. Must have window nets for driver and passenger. Must have three bars in front of driver and passenger in windshield area.

ENGINE: must be stock for the make and model except no 400’s or larger small or big blocks. All engine components, distributor, etc… must be strictly stock. Cast piston only. Chevy must use 4 equal valve relief pistons. Mini starter and aftermarket pulleys OK. Aftermarket power-steering pumps OK. Metric cars may run a 350. NO stroking or de-stroking. Engine must be in stock location. Solid motor and transmission mounts OK. Maximum cranking compression 175 lbs. (ignition off, engine turned over 5 times).
Aluminum Water Pumps OK.

CAMSHAFT, VALVE TRAIN AND CYLINDER HEADS: Hydraulic cam and lifters only. .450 lift maximum on camshaft lift. 1.94 maximum intake valve diameter, 1.50 maximum exhaust valve diameter on Chevrolet engines. Stock size valve springs and stock length pushrods only. Stamped steel 1.5 rockers and 3/8 studs on Chevy, 1,6 on Fords and Chrysler, NO roller tips. Open chambered heads only, must be unaltered, O.E.M. NO porting, polishing or gasket matching allowed. Screw in studs and guide plates OK. 305 engines may use 305 heads (no vortec). Neck down valves OK.

CARBURETION AND FUEL SYSTEM: Holley 4412, 2 barrel only. Must be unaltered. Choke plate may be removed. 4412 must be cast into body of carburetor. Maximum 1 inch spacer. Fuel pump must be in stock location for make, NO electric pumps or fuel injection even if factory equipped.

EXHAUST: Stock unaltered cast iron exhaust manifolds only. NO Chevy center dump, Corvette, marine or tubular steel type manifolds. Mufflers required. NO exceptions.

INTAKE MANIFOLD: Stock unaltered or cast iron intake only. NO aftermarket or stock high performance or high rise. NO bowties. NO porting, polishing or gasket matching.

TRANSMISSIONS: Any stock type automatic or manual. Automatics must have working 11 inch torque converter. NO direct drives. Transmission cooler OK. Manual must have 10.5 inch clutch and steel flywheel. NO mini clutches. Steel drive shafts must be painted white and have a loop 6 inches from front u-joint.
FUEL: Pump gas , R acing fuel allowed. No additives or smells. Fuel tank must be secured in trunk. Fuel cells recommended.

SUSPENSION: Front and rear suspension must be stock for that make and model of car. May use tubular upper control arms on front mount but MUST be IN STOCK mount. NO air shocks. NO other alterations to any part of the suspension will be allowed. Any spring in stock location, NO spacers or adjustable weight jacks of any kind, must sit in unaltered stock mounts. Any stock mount shock.
REAR END: Stock rear-end for make and model. Gears may be locked. Gear ratio optional. 9" Ford rear-end is allowed.

STEERING AND DRIVER SEAT:Steering boxes must remain in stock location. Aftermarket steering wheel and quick release steering coupling are recommended. Quick steer boxes allowed. NO part of driver seat may be no further back than 25 inches forward of center line of rear end housing.

RADIATORS: Any (1) radiator that fits in original location without any body modifications is allowed. Water pump mounted fans only, NO electric fans. Fan spacers OK.

IGNITION: One 12 volt battery only must be mounted securely in rear of driver’s compartment or trunk area. One stock distributor in stock location only. NO modifications allowed. Module and coil must be stock. Plugs and wires may be aftermarket. Ignitions on/off switch must be clearly marked. NO traction control devices of any kind.

BRAKES: May use any one (1) Master Cylinder. After market pedal is OK . Must have 3 working brakes. Right front may be blocked. NO bias adjustment is allowed. Disc brakes allowed in rear, NO aluminum or composite rotors. Must use steel stock type rotors on rear disc.

TIRES AND WHEELS: 8 inch maximum wide wheels allowed, 15 inch diameter steel wheels only, wheel covers and mud plugs right rear only.NO bead locks or screws allowed. NO bleed-off valves. Must run 1 inch steel lug nuts. Approved Hoosier asphalt pull-offs only, 35 or higher, must durometer 51 or higher. NO tire softening allowed. All 4 tires must be asphalt pull-offs. NO EXCEPTIONS.

WEIGHT: Weight must be securely added to car. Car must weigh minimum 3000 lbs. With driver after race
